About Us - Trade Associations

BEDEMCO INC. is active in a number of food industry trade associations and professional groups. We are members of the Nut & Agricultural Products and Processed Foods Sections of the Association of Food Industries (AFI), a non-profit trade association which promotes international trade and commerce in food products.

AFI works through its members to implement standards and specifications for various agricultural products, to provide arbitration services, to monitor government regulations and legislation and to promote trade activities. As an active member of AFI, we support these efforts by serving in various capacities on working committees and sponsoring association programs.

BEDEMCO is one of the founding members of the Hazelnut Council. This trade group, founded by leading hazelnut suppliers, is actively developing the North American market for the use of hazelnuts through a range of ongoing promotions, advertising efforts and introductions to key manufacturing segments.

In addition to these important trade groups, BEDEMCO staff members actively participate in trade shows and events throughout the world. Individually our employees work with culinary educators and associations to network with other professionals and remain up-to-date within the food industry.
